Not Just In Spain Any More Running With The Bulls America Is Here
There's excitement buzzing around Arizona right now, getting ready for an exciting time of a very old event. Arizona will be hosting the running with the bulls America, this year. In October, Cave Creek, will be home of this thrilling event and the residence of this town are excited.
This is Arizona's second time of hosting this incredible event. Back in 2002, it was held in the city of Scottsdale. Nevada has done this several times as well. Cave Creek will do it this year using a smaller track and more animals which they believe is going to create even more excitement.
Usually only about twelve bulls are used, but here there's going to be forty. And approximately one thousand runners this time also, with six runs in the day. Hopefully it all goes as planned and no body is hurt in the process by these fifteen hundred pound animals. Or by being trampled by that many people that are going to be running. It's happened before, some have even been known to be gored in the past.
Injuries are usually minor in this type of event, and it's usually because of a fall, it's very rare that someone dies. The fences that are used to fence off the track are to keep the animals in so they can't escape. But in case something goes wrong, the fence has a large enough gap or space so that the people can escape if need be.
This is a thrilling time for Cave Creek, they're excited and proud to host this event this year. First they will hold a test run, then they hold a party and a concert for the runners. The next day after they do the six runs, there is a rodeo, a bull fight and a clown competition. Many exhibits and lots of food of every kind and drinks.
The United States may keep this going on here, not just in Arizona. But some are saying that PETA, is trying to put a stop to it, for good. They are the activists for animal rights. Although, others are arguing that it's not something they should even be trying to stop since there is no cruelty to the animals in the event.
This time of year in Arizona is nice, October usually has perfect weather. So, for a great day of thrills, bring the whole family out or bring your guest. A fun time for everyone is planned.
